Memorial for Oliver Purisiol (2004)
David Freedman was commissioned by Fallibroome High School in Macclesfield, Cheshire to produce a sculpture to honour the memory of a pupil who died at the age of only 15.
David worked closely with Oliver's family to produce an interpretation of his character. The final piece (permanently displayed in the school building) included elements of forged steel, copper and brass, centred around a cast bronze portrait of Oliver in armour (top right).
